Delivering the Gloves Theme: The Story of Koguma, PART 2 [NEW RILAKKUMA SERIES OCTOBER 2016]

Today's blog post is all about the second story of Koguma: "Delivering the Gloves" which has also inspired a new series, the Gloves Theme (or Delivering the Gloves Theme). Blog post on the goods in this theme HERE!

(see original story of Koguma here)

Below is my translation of the San-X information page about the story, and also photos used on Rilakkuma's Facebook page. They had posts of the story each evening during a week in September. I translated these day by day on my own Facebook page, too. So if you'd like to follow along when I translate their posts, please check out my page, here! : )

Below is my translation of their posts, and then some images that I translated, too! Enjoy!

Because of the popularity of Koguma, the story continues! It is a heart-warming illustrated story:

It's now become colder. Korilakkuma would like to give Koguma some handmade gloves as a gift. She decided to go to the Honey Forest alone to see Koguma.

Her first trip to see Koguma is exciting, but a little scary, too. Rilakkuma and Kiiroitori are secretly watching from behind. They are worried about Korilakkuma going alone.

The two were so happy to see each other after such a long time. Koguma was very happy to receive the handmade gloves from Korilakkuma.

It seems Koguma is so happy to have his first pair of gloves!
Since Korilakkuma and Koguma haven't met for a long time, they were really happy to play together!

(In photo: Kiiro says, "It's not food, Koguma!")

That night, they all ate a dinner made with fresh honey from the Honey Forest!

Tired from a long day of play together, the two went to sleep.
This is the end of this mini story. Did you enjoy it?

Koguma-chan Limited Edition Plush [New Rilakkuma Character Series]

Koguma-chan is the new Rilakkuma character being released in March. For more info about Koguma's story, see my previous post, or links at the bottom of this post. (Shop here for Koguma goods)

Let's take a look at the three new limited edition plushies of Koguma!
Rilakkuma and Koguma (photo from San-X's news release)
This first one features Rilakkuma fishing with Koguma at his side. It even has a little pond and fish at the end of the pole! This is quite unique because Rilakkuma plush don't normally have a base like this.
Koguma and Kori (photo from San-X's news release)

I love this one so much..Koguma peeking out of the tree! It's as if they are playing hide-and-seek. I think I just have to buy this one!

Koguma and Kiiro (photo from San-X's news release)

And finally, a really cute one with Koguma and Kiiro riding on top. It's the cheapest of the series (1700 yen). I love it!

So I preordered the main series already...but it looks like I may need to buy some more. I just love it so much. How about you guys?

I have seen these on TaoBao, and now they are for preorder on MiraPlush! Have you seen them for sale anywhere else? I'll update here if I find a reliable website.

Here is a link to San-X's news release of the three extra Koguma-chan series plush! (Shop here for Koguma goods)

Lemon Rilakkuma Haul! リラックマ「フレッシュレモン」テーマ 柠檬农夫轻松熊

I got the Rilakkuma Fresh Lemon set for my birthday! I actually helped my mom with the preordering from MiraPlush.com, but of course I couldn't open them up until my birthday. ^.^

It is such a cute set, and as always, the details in this series are so great. Korilakkuma has a lighter pair of overalls and a white hat, compared to Rilakkuma and Kiiroitori's darker overalls and yellow hat.

Above is a view from the back of the plush. So cute how Korilakkuma and Rilakkuma have their hats hanging of their heads (they are attached in place) and Kiiroitori is actually wearing his! And check out the cute little tails!

Each have a cute little bow tie where the hat is "hanging" from their necks. Korilakkuma has a pink one, and the others are yellow.

I also really like the pin stripe detail of the overalls. Rilakkuma's has more of a masculine look with denim and Korilakkuma's definitely looks more girly with the lighter color and pink pin stripes.

They have a little lemon logo with a mini R on their front pocket too. Also, the tags on these are so cute too--in the shape of an actual lemon!

I'm actually doing lots of gardening this summer, so I love how these guys look like little farmers too.

Look forward to some cute photography of my garden and this series on my instagram and tumblr of course!

In addition to the regular series, there is also a limited edition set, and caravan plushies. The limited edition sets have all three dressed as lemons! It does get expensive very fast, so I opted to just get the limited edition Kiiro.

This one is especially cute because he is sitting in a basket of lemons! The one lemon even has his face on it! Haha. I also figured I should get this one because it is a great shape to display. Most of the plush are hard to pose, and I knew this would look great in my dining room.

I celebrated my birthday with my parents at their house. Ironically, after I opened my gifts, my mom told me we were having LEMON CHICKEN!

Poor Kiiro...

She said it was not intentional! What a funny coincidence.

That's all for now! Full video will be posted later this week.

Are you guys buying anything from the Fresh Lemon series? If so, where is your favorite place to buy?

Talk to you soon,

♡ Mary

Rilakkuma Halloween 2015 Pumpkin Series! ♡

I was just looking at the new Rilakkuma Panda series, and I happened to see that there will be a new Halloween set for Rilakkuma this fall. They are all cute little pumpkins!

Photo from TaoBao seller. Please click link below to view their shop!

I saw this on Taobao, a shopping website in China. I'm guessing when it gets closer to the release, MiraPlush will most likely offer them for preorder. I'll post updates here as I see them!!

Will you be preordering?

Talk to you guys again soon!

☆ Rilakkuma Graduation Plush! ☆

Bo and I graduated from college last May. When my mom asked me what I wanted for graduation--it was easy--Rilakkuma graduation plushies! I was so lucky they were released this year. And their navy blue and gold colors matched my school colors. ^.^

Bo and I have slightly different graduation cords/tassels based on our majors and achievements. I was a bit jealous Bo matched the bears perfectly with his golden tassle!

After our graduation, we had a party with some friends. I hadn't had a party in so long. I finally got to use my chocolate fountain, with yummy fruits. I decorated with my bears of course! Bo and I set up a game room with three monitors set up with different game systems. ^.^

Rilakkuma Graduation Plush (Fukuoka 4th Anniversary) Review and Information
リラックマ卒業テーム/福岡パルク/アニバーサリーぬいぐるみ

The set of 3 plushies are pretty tiny. There were not any other sizes or related goods released. Each bear holds a little rolled diploma and has a pink petal either on their tail or back (for chicken). There is a pink ribbon on the back that says 4th Fukuoka, for the 4th Anniversary of the Rilakkuma store in Fukuoka. [I'm posting these pictures and the tag so you can be sure you get the real one, if that's what you like. There is a fake version that is posted on eBay, similarly priced, but looks very different.] It came out March, 2014 at the Fukuoka Parco store for 1300 yen each. You can view the blog post on San-X here.

I bought mine both from eBay and MiraPlush, for about $30, each. This is over double the original price in Japan... Unfortunately, Mira Plush does not have them anymore, but occasionally they will be on eBay. This is the latest listing I have seen. Mira Plush is very consistent and trustworthy (not to mention packages often with the original cute bags!) but is pricey.

I wish there were more items to this set, but it's just an anniversary plush. I bet in the future there will be more graduating plushes! I think it's really cute and great quality as always.

Congratulations to any other 2014 graduates! 卒業おめでとう!Let me know if you graduated too!

(I stole Bo's cap for this picture!!)
